The Price of Stones - A Poem by Jason Webb

Nothing in life is quite as bland
As those who fight over bits of land.
They think the World is their's to own,
So they put a price on every stone.

They take it when they plant their flag.
Possession marked with national tag.
Let he who's strongest take it all,
And protect it with an iron wall.

Those who are weak will see it lost,
And shed tears when they see the cost
Of nations starved, reduced to bones,
'Cause they can't afford the price of stones.
